Himba

May 9 and 10

An immense
river (Kunene means big) in the middle of desert: indescribable.

This is the
land of the Himba, a nomadic pastoralist tribe. They are the reasons we came
here. Before sunrise we left camp to go visit a place where our exceptional
guide, Clement, knew they could be.
And there we
found them. We were introduced to Oma, the matriarch, and were slowly accepted
and involved in their morning activities. Again pictures talks better than
words…

We ended the day with the most amazing quad trip in the desert. Breathtaking views… Photos? Wait for the next blog!
