Many Maasai children enjoying the ceremony.
A few days ago we were invited to a Maasai ceremony to celebrate a group of six young women who bravely decided to go against the Maasai tradition and forego the traditional female circumcision.  The success of this initiative was witnessed by a large crowd from the community.  They were very welcoming of the guests we brought along from Campi ya Kanzi, who got to witness the great singing and dancing of the Maasai, and the traditional ceremonial clothing.
The oldest Maasai elders in attendance blessed the ceremony.
